I am fairly new to tribe and I just stumbled on this group. I feel very strongly about how the US gov't has allowed the abuse of the middle class and migrant workers for their ultimate gain. It disgusts me that people are treated sub-human because they do not have visas. US policy allows for people to enter illegally and work, yet they are given no aid, no workman's comp... and when the employer wants to lay people off, they just call the INS and have them sweep up workers ( as far as what my ex-husband told me they do this a lot in LA ).
